The Parents Aquatics Club (PAC) is made up of a cross representation of interested parents from the entire team (i.e. boys, girls, younger and older swimmers, experienced and less experienced swimmers). The PAC consists of program volunteers responsible for assisting YMCA staff in conducting the competitive swim program. The PAC is not a policymaking Board/Committee. All policy decisions related to any and all YMCA programs are the responsibility of the Branch Board and/or the Board of Directors of the YMCA of Reading and Berks County. The primary function of the PAC is: To supply officials, timers, and helpers for all home and away meets as required by the Penn Del League rules. To provide refreshments at home meets for all swimmers, both home and visiting. To raise funds to facilitate the swim team, purchase equipment and gifts for the swimmers. These funds are YMCA funds and are reconciled monthly by the YMCA Accounting Staff. To sponsor a recognition banquet/picnic at the end of the season. The responsibilities of PAC members include: To Attend monthly meetings. Participate in PAC sponsored events. Participate on at least one PAC committee.
